MAGGIE Gyllenhaal has put on a party for members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot a day after they partied with Madonna.
Gyllenhaal co-hosted a special reception for the band at The Spotted Pig in New York.
The 33-year-old actor and 36-year-old actress were joined at the event by her husband Peter Sarsgaard.
The Voice Project is an organization which works to utilize the power of music to effect positive social change.
The party comes just one day after the women of Pussy Riot were recognized at the Amnesty International Concert. The ladies were introduced by Madonna to the packed crowd at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
