John Stamos of the “Full House” fame will be charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of the date rape drug GHB.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials believe the 52-year-old actor was under the influence of GHB, an intoxicant commonly used as a date rape drug, when he was arrested in Beverly Hills in June.
John was allegedly using the drug as a fitness supplement to “lean out body mass” in preparation for his new TV shows, Grandfathered and Fuller House, a source told the entertainment news outlet.
Following his arrest, John was hospitalized to be treated for an unknown medical condition. He subsequently entered a rehab facility in July and checked out after a one-month stint.
“I’ve had a rough year with my mom dying, so it all came to a head, and it was a turning point. You either continue on that path — and some of it’s fun, but a lot of it’s not — or there’s this other thing, this golden opportunity sitting there with all this work and all this goodwill that you have going for you. That’s the key,” the star said of his recent rehab stint in an interview with Details.
