Joyce Ingalls, a former model and actress and the wife of Emmy-nominated producer Darrell Fetty, has died. She was 65.
Tabloid media revealed that a representative of the Joyce Ingalls’ husband has confirmed that she died at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, reports E! Online.
Joyce Ingalls may best be known for her role in the 1978 film Paradise Alley, in which she played a prostitute who tried to console Sylvester Stallone’s character.
She also appeared in The Man Who Would Not Die, Deadly Force and the blockbuster Lethal Weapon 4.
Born in Charleston, S.C., the southern belle got her big break back in 1966 when she won a Cover Girl contest. She later became a highly sought after model for the Eileen Ford Agency.
In fact, her beautiful looks landed her on the cover of Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Life over the course of her modeling career.
Away from the spotlight, Ingalls and Fetty oversaw a homeless ministry at the historic Little Brown Church. The Darrell and Joyce Fetty Food Pantry has served thousands of needy families for more than two decades.
