Kate Hudson was glowing at her Fabletics FL2 launch in NYC on Thursday!.
The 36-year-old star already has a successful range of active wear for women having collaborated with JustFab on her Fabletics line since 2013.
She’s now decided it’s the right time to expand the collection, with pieces for men the logical next step.
“We designed FL2 with the modern man in mind,” she explained to WWD. “My brother, Oliver, was my go-to for style and function feedback. As an athlete and fatherof three, Oliver embodies the man we’re designing for; it made perfect sense for him to be the face of the brand.”
Olivier has more than just an inspirational role with the new line as he is also going to be its spokesperson. His first role will be attending an event to mark its launch in New York City later today.
The collection will boast all kinds of things the modern sporty man could want, including hoodies, tank tops, T-shirt, shorts and slim-fitting trousers.
Giving it an edge is the choice of fabrics, which have four-way stretch so will be very comfortable. The cloth used was also specially created to guard against the sun’s rays when exercising outdoors, and has moisture-release properties to ensure the users don’t get too sweaty.
Kate Hudson has also decided to make them affordable, with tops beginning at $29.95 and trousers kicking off at $44.95. Just like her womenswear offering, the items can be bought individually or in sets.
After launching Fabletics Kate spoke about why the project was so important to her. She’s an exercise enthusiast and wanted to offer stylish outfits which weren’t only suitable for the gym.
“I live in this type of wear. All day, I pretty much have something that I work out in or plan to work out in,” she explained to website fashionista.com at the time. “[The goal of the Fabletics line is] for women to have athletic wear stylish enough that they can wear it all day… As a mom, how often am I on a red carpet and how often do I wake up and take my kids to school? It’s a no-brainer that I’ll probably be wearing [active wear] more than I will a Cavalli dress.”
