Kate Pierson, co-founder of the new wave party band The B-52s, has married her longtime lover Monica Coleman in Hawaii.
The singer and artist Coleman exchanged vows in Hawaii on Monday, and the singer took to her Facebook page to share snaps from the couple’s big day.
In one shot, Pierson shows off her pink, Victorian-style dress, while her wife displays a flowing gold gown. Both donned traditional Hawaiian leis to celebrate the nuptials.
Pierson added the captions, “#ItsOfficial!… Married now!”
Among the wedding guests were Pierson’s B-52s bandmates, including Fred Schneider, who gave the best man speech, while singer/songwriter Sia performed “Crush Me With You Love,” a song she wrote for the couple that featured on Pierson’s first solo album “Guitars and Microphones.”
