Keyshia Cole is now facing more than just criminal charges in the aftermath of her scuffle at rapper Birdman’s condo last month. The other woman involved in the case is now suing the singer for the injuries she sustained during the confrontation.
Apparently, Sabrina Mercidel was in Birdman’s West Hollywood, Calif., penthouse when Cole was let into the building by a security guard. Cole and the Cash Money Records co-founder had reportedly been dating leading up to the altercation. It is unclear if they broke up.
In her documents, Mercidel refers to Birdman as “a friend” that she was visiting. The two weren’t involved in anything sexual, sources say.
Cole was arrested for misdemeanor battery. Rumor has it that Birdman tried to make things up to her with a large cash gift (that she gave to her son).
Regarding Mercidel, a judge has since granted her restraining order against the “She” singer. Cole must stay at least 100 yards away, and is barred from having any contact with her.
