Kiele Sanchez has been left heartbroken after suffering a miscarriage.
Us Weekly noted that a representative for the Lost star and her husband Zach Gilford confirmed the sad news.
“We regretfully confirm that Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez recently lost their child to a late term miscarriage,” the rep said. “No additional details will be made available. We thank everyone in advance for their sensitivity and discretion during this difficult time.”
Sanchez and the Friday Nights Lights actor were expecting a baby boy next month.
In August, the 37-year-old actress announced her pregnancy at the Television Critics Association press tour while promoting her show Kingdom.
“I am playing a woman who is pretty detached from the thing that’s growing inside her, and I couldn’t be more excited about my pregnancy,” she said. “So when I slip into [my character] Lisa, I’m at odds with this thing down here.”
Sanchez and Gilford were married three years ago. This would have been the couple’s first child together.
