Kit Harington has showed off his new short hair after lamenting about not being able to cut it due to his Game of Thrones role.

Harington’s new look is certain to set fans’ tongues wagging for more than just aesthetic reasons – the English actor has previously said he was under contractual obligation to never cut his hair as long as he was on the show.
The contract is supposedly so strict that when filming Testament of Youth last year, in which his character is meant to have short hair, Harington was forced to wear a wig in order to keep his luscious locks intact.
So his new chop could have interesting implications for the future of the show, as well as the next novel in George R. R. Martin’s epic saga.
The most recent book, A Dance With Dragons, published in 2011, ends on a massive cliffhanger after Snow is stabbed multiple times – appearing to be dead.
But when asked at the time by Entertainment Weekly why he killed the character off, Martin replied: “Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?”
Fans of the books will have to wait for Martin’s forthcoming novel, The Winds of Winter, to be released to find out about Snow’s fate.
But fans of the HBO show may soon have an answer – if Harington’s haircut is anything to go by.
