A video captured the moment a strapping straphanger aboard a Los Angeles Expo train turned into a real-life Hulk and knocked out an unruly, shirtless man with a swift chokehold.
Adrian Kaczmarek watched as a 25-year-old shirtless man harass fellow passengers on the La Brea line from the Crenshaw area to the Culver City station around 9 p.m.
But when the unruly man started to get physical and threaten people, Kaczmarek sprang into action.
“I was more concerned about my safety and the people on the train’s safety,” he said. “I wasn’t sure if he had a knife or if he had a gun.”
The 32-year-old fitness trainer can’t be seen in the video at first, but as the seriousness of the situation begins to escalate his arm suddenly comes into view, placing a swift chokehold on the troublemaker, who struggled before falling limp to the floor.
“Once you let go of (the chokehold) he comes to within a few seconds,” Kaczmarek explained.

A female public transit officer arrived at the scene, but was hesitant due to the man struggling to break free under Kaczmarek’s foot. The “hero” once again saved the day by placing him in handcuffs.
“Made a nice little citizens’ arrest for the first time in my life,” he said with a smile.
The suspect was arrested and booked for being under a controlled substance. While Kaczmarek is fairly new to the Los Angeles area, he credits his quick thinking and courage to growing up on the mean streets of New York.
