Just a few weeks ago, The PinkPrint rapper Nicki Minaj dumped longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels. Now, the YMCMB sweetheart is already hooking-up with another industry insider. Meet Grizz Lee (real name, Alex Loucas) – a popular music video director who worked with Minaj on the controversial lyrical clip for the songstress new hit single, “Only.”
Minaj was accosted by paparazzi in the airport the other day, with one asking if she agreed with public sentiment that her recent “Only” music video was anti-Semitic for including Nazi symbols.
“This is my new Jewish boyfriend, why the [expletive] would I do that,” Minaj finally replied. “We did this together.”
Minaj later told fans via Twitter that both the producer of the video and the person in charge of the video are Jewish–one of them Loucas.
She referred to Loucas as “one of my best friends and videographer.”
“I didn’t come up w/the concept, but I’m very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I’d never condone Nazism in my art,” she added, noting that the video was influenced by Metalocalypse and Sin City, a cartoon.
It’s unclear if Minaj was serious that Loucas is her boyfriend. When she announced it, he looked surprised but also slightly amused, smiling. He refused to talk to the paparazzi.
Loucas is 25 years old and graduated Carlsbad High School in San Diego, reported Access Hollywood.
Loucas has reportedly been touring with Minaj since 2012. He often produces the official Behind the Scenes documentaries for Minaj’s tours.
