MINFORD — A shooting incident has resulted in the death of a mother and her 16-year-old daughter in Minford Sunday night.

The victims has been identified as Candace Newsome, 48, and her daughter Kristina Newsome, 16.

The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. Jan. 4 at a home in the Minford area of Blue Run Road, Sheriff Marty Donini said.

Deputies found the mother and her 16-year-old daughter dead, reportedly from gunshot wounds, Donini said.

Authorities said there are no suspects or motives at this time.
