Missing woman’s car with body inside recovered from Brandon lake, The Tampa Bay Times noted that although a positive identification has not yet been made, officials believe that the body is that of Apryl Foster, who went missing on Feb. 13. The clothing on the body also matches the clothes she was wearing when she disappeared.
Law enforcement officials have been searching for the 33-year-old since last Saturday after she was last seen leaving a bar in Tampa. On Sunday, around 3 p.m. police responded to a call about a car in a lake half a mile from Foster’s home and recovered her submerged 2009 Chevy Aveo.
“This is a tragic end to a very sad story,” deputy Tampa police Chief Brian Dugan said.
KETV in Omaha reported that Foster had ties to Nebraska and graduated from Gretna High School.
