A 20-year-old man was charged with impaired driving twice Sunday by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
In the first incident, RNC officers stopped the driver on the Main Roads in Goulds.
He was charged with impaired driving and refusing to take the breathalyzer.
Officers released the driver with a scheduled court date.
Second incident
Then five hours later, the same man was again stopped in the Goulds after police received a tip from the public.
Police again gave him the breathalyzer and charged him with impaired driving and driving while suspended.
The accused was held in the lock-up to appear in court today and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
