Pamela Anderson has turned down the opportunity to return to the beach for the “Baywatch” movie.
The actress, who became the break-out star of the TV series in the late 1980s, has revealed she was offered a role in the revamp, which features Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron, but didn’t like the storyline.
Pam has been replaced in the 2017 movie as C.J. by fellow blonde stunner Kelly Rohrbach, and seemingly hated the idea of the remake which also stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron, when it was announced last year.
She said: “No one appreciates the remakes.”
But she now considers the title a “homage” to the series, which ran from 1989 to 2001, and admits it would be an “honour” to be a part of it because it played a huge part in her life and career.
The actress tells ET Canada: “I haven’t turned it down completely yet. But I have turned down what they offered me. But we’ll see what happens…I haven’t even read the script. I have no idea what it’s about… ‘Baywatch’ was such a huge part of my life. And really they’re trying to do an homage and you know it’s an honour to have them to want me to be a part of it so bad.”
