Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon finalized their divorce on Monday, April 27. The exes issued a joint statement on Wednesday, apologizing for their messy divorce proceedings, including the one when Rick called Pamela “a serial baby killer.”
The blonde star filed for divorce in February, the second time she had done so since she first married the poker champion in 2007.
But this time it seems final, with TMZ reporting Rick has paid Pamela the sky-high figure.
And it seems that Rick has also gained something out of the split. The news outlet explains that Pamela was challenging his Nevada residency, claiming he was a California resident who was trying to dodge taxes on a $40 million poker win. Now their union is no more, she reportedly is no longer contesting his residency.
Earlier this month the pair were still at loggerheads, with the 47-year-old actress winning a restraining order extension against Rick. It stemmed from an initial restraining order the month before, which contained incendiary accusations against her estranged spouse. TMZ previously reported she accused him of attempting to strangle and smother her with a pillow while they were having sex.
Pamela and Rick first married in October 2007, but separated that December. In February 2008 Pamela requested through the courts that the marriage be annulled, citing fraud.
In October 2013 she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and told the chat show host she still enjoyed a “friends with benefits” relationship with Rick.
In January 2014 Pamela announced that she and Rick had remarried, but filed for divorce in February of this year.
