Tyrese Gibson, “Fast & Furious” co-star and Paul Walker’s close friend, has reached out to the Walker’s family to help with funeral arrangements, according to E! News. After an emotional visit Sunday to the crash site where Walker died, Gibson, posted an “open letter to God” on his Facebook page Monday. “Father God I love you, I trust you and honor your presence in and around my life…” he wrote. “I know I am still here for a purpose so use my up….I will do what you tell me to do … Order my footsteps and I will walk.”
The Fast & Furious star died in a crash after a charity car show in Santa Clarita, California, this past Saturday. He was 40.
Walker had been dating 23-year-old student Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell for seven years — and she is being now comforted by her mother, Julie, as she struggles to cope following the “horrible” accident.
“Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. I went to Thanksgiving with him, played golf with him,” said Jasmine’s uncle, Barton Bruner.
“They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together.
“This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her.”
