Pauley Perrette: “NCIS” actress Assaulter Denies Actress’ Accusations

A homeless man has pleaded not guilty to attacking and threatening to kill “NCIS” actress Pauley Perrette.

Last week, Perrette described being attacked by a homeless man in Hollywood. She posted a long message on Twitter, writing about how the man had threatened to kill her and he punched her in the nose and forehead. She collapsed, but was able to text a friend who helped police arrest the man.

“I almost died tonight,” she wrote of the experience.

David Merk, 45, has been charged with making a criminal threat and false imprisonment by violence, which are both felonies. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office asked that his bail be set at $60,000 and, if Merk is convicted, he could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.

The Associated Preess reports that Merck pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Perrette plays Abby Sciuto on NCIS, a role she’s had since 2003.
