Pop star Selena Gomez will play a one off show in New Zealand later this year.
The 23-year-old Slow Down hit-maker will headline her very first New Zealand show at Auckland’s Vector Arena on Saturday August 13, as part of her worldwide Revival Tour.
Selena’s debut solo album Stars Dance was released in 2013, taking out the top spot in the Billboard 200. Her sophomore album Revival, also hit number one on the Billboard charts.
“Making this album was the first time in my life that everyone looked at me and asked, ‘What do you want to do?'” she said.
“It was a whole different kind of challenge for me.”
Gomez first shot to fame as a teenager with a starring role on the Disney sitcom Wizards of Waverley Place. She has gone on to star in blockbusters including 2012’s Spring Breakers alongside James Franco and fellow Disney actress Vanessa Hudgens.
Eight years on Selena is the most-followed person on Instagram, with more than 80 million fans subscribing to her pictures on the social media site. Gomez is a member of Taylor Swift’s highly publicised girl squad, alongside starlets like Gigi Hadid and Kiwi singer Lorde.
