Rachel Zoe has decided to cancel her fall 2014 runway show just days before New York Fashion Week is set to begin. According to an official release from the designer and longtime stylist’s PR reps, Zoe’s latest family addition— second son Kaius was born on December 22— and subsequently busy personal schedule was the culprit in the last minute change of plans. The show was originally slated for February 13 at noon in Lincoln Center.
According to WWD, she said: ”While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from February 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles.
”As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York.”
Rachel, who was expected to show at The Salon at the Lincoln Center, confirmed she would be returning to NYFW as usual in September with a 60s-inspired bohemian Fall 2014 collection.
However, her market week will still go ahead as planned on February 10 in New York City.
