Lindsay Lohan and fiancé Egor Tarabasov’s up and down relationship has recently been major headlines. And now Lindsay has taken to social media to ask for privacy.
“I would appreciate if these speculations regarding my personal life would respectfully come to a halt,” the 30-year-old wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of a heart-shaped cloud.
“Unfortunately, a private matter has become more public than I can control and I would be extremely grateful if my fiancé and myself could discuss our personal matters on our own.”
She concluded: “There are more important things in the world than our relationship. Please leave us be to solve our personal matters.”
Lindsay’s plea comes after she accused Egor, 23, of being unfaithful and hinted that she is pregnant in a series of since-deleted posts on social media on Friday. Then, in the early hours of Saturday morning, police were called to the couple’s London home after reports of a fight.
A video released by the Sun on Sunday purports to show Lindsay sobbing and shouting to her neighbours from a balcony, “He just strangled me. He almost killed me.”
She continues: “You’ve been strangling me constantly… Everybody saw you touch me. It’s filmed. Get out! Get out.”
While police are unable to confirm that either Egor and Lindsay were involved in the domestic incident, they did say that officers were called to the address “following a report of a woman in distress”.
They confirmed that they had “forced entry into the address”, but found the property to be empty. Both occupants were later “found to be safe and well”.
Linday’s father Michael Lohan has since spoken out about the situation. “She has been texting me back and forth that she’s ok since this happened,” he told Us Weekly on Sunday. “She said he cheated. I don’t think she would say that if it wasn’t true.”
He added: “Things happen. I don’t know what their relationship is like. Relationships take twists and turns, what are you going to do?”
