Taylor Swift fan 12-year-old Emily Beazley dies from cancer just weeks before getting the chance to meet her idol.
Emily Beazley, who suffered from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, was left smiling ear-to-ear after Swift took time out of her busy schedule last month to call the Chicago, Ill., resident and make her dreams come true.

After the chat, Beazley’s mother, Nadia, told a local news station, “The smile on my daughter (is one) I have not seen in a very, very long time. I could cry.”
Swift’s manager had even offered the family tickets to attend the star’s concert in Detroit, Mich., on May 30 and meet her at the show, but the Beazleys’ joy turned to sadness on Monday as Nadia took to Facebook.com to break the news of her child’s death.
She wrote, “My beautiful Emily got to use her angel wings. She fought hard to the end. Her last gift to me was passing peacefully.”
Swift has yet to respond to the news.
The singer, who announced in April that her mother is battling cancer, is known for her devotion to her fans and has previously surprised devotees by sending them Christmas presents and inviting others to attend private listening sessions of her latest album, 1989, prior to its release last year.
