Teen killed by bus in Idaho zombie maze

A Spokane Valley man died after being struck late Friday by a vehicle at a Halloween attraction near Hauser Lake.

Jeremy T. McSpadden, 18, was acting as a role-player at the Incredible Corn Maze, 3404 N. Beck Road, at the time of the incident. He was struck by a bus inside the zombie attraction shortly before 10:30 p.m., reports the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

“Everyone just thought it was part of the act,” Sgt. Ward Crawford, a traffic team supervisor with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho, tells Reuters.

This was the first time the zombie attraction ever appeared at this particular corn maze in Idaho, where participants pay to shoot paintballs at zombies.

All attractions at the maze closed for the rest of the weekend to further investigate McSpadden’s death.
