Police in Tennessee are investigating a shooting that left three people dead and a child injured.

The report came in to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office from 618 Henson Road around 5:45 p.m., according to police. When officers arrived, they found two females with gunshot wounds inside the home. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Leslie Earhart, public information officer, says a third victim was found with a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center, where he later died.

Earhart says one of the children in the home received non-life threatening injuries during the altercation. Police say the child was transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment.

19-year-old Robert Seth Denton of Bristol, Tennessee, has been identified as a suspect in the case, according to police. According to Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson, it appears Denton is related to the family living at the home. He allegedly walked up the driveway of the home with a long-gun and began shooting people in the home.

Denton was found a short time later with a gunshot wound, and was transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Once Denton was released from the hospital, he was transported to the Sullivan County Correctional Facility, according to a press release.

Denton has been charged with three counts of First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Felony Reckless Endangerment.
