The Voice Italy : Nun becomes pop star sensation

A Nun has wowed with a performance of Alicia Keys’ ‘No One’ on the Italian version of The Voice this week.

Sister Cristina Scuccia hails from Sicily and was dressed in full religious regalia for her performance during the blind auditions.

She got all four coaches to turn around and they were blown away by the impressive performance.

“I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize,” she told the judges, according to the National Catholic Register.

“If I had found you at mass, I would always be in church,” joked judge J-Ax, an Italian rapper.

During the blind auditions, judges sit with their backs to contestants, choosing them based only on vocal performance, leading to some jaw-meet-floor moments once they turned around.

Scuccia chose J-Ax as her coach because he turned around first.
