A stabbing incident at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care sent three staff members to hospital Tuesday.
According to the ministry, three workers were struck in the head and face by a patient. One person was stabbed with a screw driver.
“Three staff were taken to hospital, treated and released yesterday,” said Laurene Hilderley, Waypoint’s director of communications and fund development. “We are focused on supporting everyone involved and we are committed to caring for the needs of staff and patients at this time.”
OPP Acting Sgt. Lynda Cranney says the investigation by the Southern Georgian Bay Crime Unit is still in progress.
An investigator with the Ministry of Labour was back at Waypoint Wednesday.
