“Mad Men” star Elisabeth Moss is rumored to have the potential of being the fourth Mrs. Tom Cruise.
Almost two year after splitting with actress Katie Holmes, Cruise is rumored to be setting his sights on dating Moss, a known fellow Scientologist famous for her role playing Peggy Olson in the hit AMC series “Mad Men.”
“Lizzie is beautiful, smart and a little quirky,” a source close to Cruise said.
More importantly, she’s a fanatical Scientologist, and the church would be thrilled to cash in on (literally) a Cruise-Moss relationship.
“Friends think it would be great for both of them – and Scientology,” the source said. “[The church would] be delighted to have their leading member become involved with another celebrity Scientologist.”
At the very least, marrying Moss might save Cruise’s rapidly deteriorating career and enhance Moss’ mediocre life.
“Lizzie is on the verge of breaking out in Hollywood,” said a source. “She would be a perfect complement to a superstar like Tom… She can hold her own in the spotlight, and marrying Tom would be good for both their careers.”
According to The Enquirer, “The popular actress – who plays Peggy Olson on AMC’s 1960s hit advertising drama – was briefly married to former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Fred Armisen.”
Moss has no children. But if she had a child with Cruise, the source said, the duo could mold him/her into a radical Scientologist from birth.
“She has no children of her own and would be an ideal candidate to have one with Tom,” the source said, “since Lizzie is a Scientologist, there would be no issues about raising a child in the church.”
Cruise has been trying to snag a Scientologist since breaking up with Katie Holmes, but has thus far been unable. He went after 29-year-old model and Scientologist Jessica White, but she turned him down.
“Tom volunteered to be Jessica’s personal Scientology tutor, but nothing jelled between them,” said the insider. “Tom misses the companionship of a woman.”
