‘Walking Dead’ Murder: Suspect pulls out the old “zombie” defense

A murder suspect in New Mexico is blaming “The Walking Dead” for his actions.

The 23-year-old suspect told local police he killed his friend once he noticed he had started changing into a Dead-like”zombie,” according to the Associated Press:

Grants police spokesman Moses Marquez said Sunday that 23-year-old Christopher Paquin was beaten and that 23-year-old Damon Perry is being held on a murder charge. Police say Perry beat Paquin with his hands, feet, an electric guitar and a microwave.

When officers arrived to the apartment late last week after maintenance workers had detained the individual, they found him “wielding a knife” before discovering the body of his friend inside the residence.

The friend, according to Perry, tried to bite him after the drunken Dead marathon. Though his lawyer hasn’t publicly commented on the charges, Perry is currently being held by local police.
