A B.C.-based medical marijuana producer is recalling a batch of pot after finding that it was contaminated with mould.
Whistler Medical Marijuana Corp is voluntarily recalling its White Widow batch of medical marijuana because it may be mouldy. According to Health Canada, inspectors received two customer complaints regarding to pot’s appearance. After testing done by the company, it has revealed that samples contained mould.
While mould does not present a significant risk to a healthy person there is a possibility of serious illness or cause of infection prompting the recall. Whistler Medical Marijuana is instructing clients to immediately discontinue use of any pot from this specific batch. Clients are urged to return the product to the company, or if they wish to destroy it at home to use water to render it unusable.
The company has indicated that it has not received reports of any adverse events associated with the use of this product. Health Canada has not received any reports of adverse reactions associated with the use marijuana supplied by Whistler Medical Marijuana Corp.
