Mississauga dance instructor charged in historical sexual assault case

A 34-year-old dance instructor is accused of sexually assaulting one of her students, a 12-year-old girl.

Between September 2007 and March 2008, a now 34 year old woman was working as a freelance dance instructor, working at her own studio, Studio 22 in Woodbridge.

She also taught dance at the Vince Parrell Dance Studio at 276 Main street.

It’s alleged she befriended a 12 year old girl and sexually assaulted her.

34 year old Cheryl Thompson, who continues to work as a freelance instructor, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation.

She’s due in court November 5, 2015.
