Young woman beaten in Longueuil dies of injuries

A young woman was murdered Tuesday evening in Longueuil.

Police say the woman, who has not been identified but appears to be in her twenties, was attacked around 10 p.m. Tuesday while on a bicycle path between Chambly Rd. and Normandie St.

Longueuil police have set up a command post on Chambly and Levis St. and are asking the public to come forward with any tips they might have.

“We want people to come and say if they saw or heard anything, anything that could be suspect, any detail,” said police spokesperson Tommy Lacroix.
