Concert-goers were quick to post pictures and videos online, and in one horrific Twitter snap, Michaels’ head is covered in flames.

A short video shows the moment his head caught on fire as he stood on top of an amp whilst playing his instrument.

He is then seen grabbing a towel and running off stage, while another band member told the crowd: “Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now. He is ok.”

Michael, 19, was treated in hospital and later posted a picture of his face in bandages.

“What the f**ks up. sorry I couldnt finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. thanks for worrying every1 x,” he captioned the picture, which shows him pulling a thumbs up.

He later added: “If I obviously don’t want to have my picture taken right now please don’t take my picture 🙂 see everyone tomorrow!!”

Understandably, fans are still in shock after witnessing the incident and took to Twitter to explain what they had seen.

“I JUST WATCHED MICHAELS HAIR AND SHIRT CATCH ON FIRE HOLY HELL. HE WAS ON FIRE,” one posted, and plenty more were sending him get well wishes.

“All my thoughts are with @Michael5SOS this morning! Fire is a cruel mistress. Praying for a speedy recovery dude!!” one fan tweeted, while another wrote: @Michael5SOS with or without hair, with or without the scar on your face you will be the most beautiful person in the world and we love you.”
