Jamie Sangouthai‘s autopsy reports are back and he did not die of an apparent heroin overdose as previously reported.

Jamie Sangouthai, 37, reportedly died from a skin infection brought on by using dirty needles, not a heroin overdose, as earlier suggested.

Jamie Sangouthai appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off Khloe and Lamar, documenting Khloe Kardashian’s relationship with her now estranged husband.

“The exact terms are necrotizing fasciitis – bacterial skin infection – and chronic intravenous narcotism, which is IV drug abuse,” the LA County Coroner told TMZ.

“Due to the extent of the infection, the hospital performed surgery to deal with the infection, but the condition quickly overwhelmed what they were able to do for him,” the coroner added to E! News.

Jamie Sangouthai was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday where he later died.

A source told Us Weekly: “Lamar is beside himself. This is the worst tragedy.”

Another source added: “This is so sad. They were best friends, like brothers. Lamar is going to take this really hard.”

Khloe – who often voiced her opinion about Jamie being a bad influence on Keeping Up With The Kardashians – tweeted after his death: “When does it stop? RIP Jamie Sangouthai.”

She later posted an image of a crying woman on Instagram, along with the caption: “Life doesn’t get easier but I promise you that life will make you stronger.”

Khloe’s best friend Malika Haqq also took to Instagram to share a picture of her with Khloe, Lamar and Jamie.

She said: “Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed… RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll.”
