Powerball Winner Comes to Collect His Winnings (Video)

The winner of the largest lottery jackpot in Colorado history claimed his prize in Grand Junction on Wednesday afternoon.

Claude “Al” G., who did not give out his last name, is the winner of Saturday night’s $90 million Powerball jackpot, the Denver Post reported.

“I’ve been waking up since Sunday that this isn’t real. There was a winning ticket in Rifle, Colorado and she pulled out the tickets and found out that it was us and she goes, oh my God, oh my God, Al, oh my God,” said Rifle winner, Claude.

Claude and Jackie aren’t strangers to trying their luck at the lottery.

“We’ve been playing it every time, once on Wednesday and once for Saturday,” said Claude, “maybe two bucks, three bucks, that’s about it.”

With more than a couple bucks of winnings this time, everyone is wondering how will they spend it?

“Have fun. Planning on doing some, that’s mainly it, planning on doing some vacationing and get away,” said Claude.

Despite becoming a millionaire, he still plans to live in Rifle and continue working.

“Probably not, I’ll probably still do something, to keep from going completely crazy,” said Claude.

Claude and Jackie have not decided it they will take the lump sum or the annuity, but they did hire a lawyer to help them make the decision.
