Rare cars found in barn ready for auction

Five rare cars dating from 1908 to 1938 were discovered in near perfect condition in an Austin, Texas barn. “It’s the Holy Grail for a car guy,” Antonio Brunet said.

Brunet told Fox News, “it’s like time stopped.”

He said the cars are”just as they were when they were put away, right down to the smell. It’s incredible.” After a pause he added, “it’s like you’re in a time machine.”

Included are three Cadillacs, an electric model from Milburn electric, and an REO Model G Boat tail Roadster.

Fox News reports the owner planned to restore the cars but never found the time. Instead, he called Brunet’s Motostalgia Auctions. “It’s the Holy Grail for a car guy,” Brunet beamed.

It’s expected the 1932 Cadillac 370B V-12 convertible will be the most sought after with bids close to $350,000.

Brunet confirmed several of the cars have been started, and driven. “ It’s the final chapter of a magnificent story,” he concluded.

The auction will take place June 12th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
