Chrissy Teigen suffers ‘wardrobe malfunction of highest calibre’ as dress splits at CFDA Awards

Chrissy Teigen suffered the dreaded wardrobe malfunction at the recent CFDA Awards. This time, it wasn’t a nip slip (very close though), but rather an unfortunate dress rip that showed off a little more than Chrissy signed on for.

The 29-year-old, who arrived at the event on the arm of Stuart Weitzman, was a vision (per usual) in a strapless white gown by Solace London. But a prominent slit up the front of the dress tore at some point in the evening, revealing more than Teigen was prepared to bare.

No sweat, though. Teigen proved that she is basically the most chill person ever. Mrs. John Legend simply covered up the rip with her glittering Swarovski clutch, then got ahead of the headlines by posting the incident to her own social media.

“Wardrobe malfunction of the highest caliber,” she wrote on Instagram. “Let’s just say the slit took it upon itself to rip 5 inches higher. Thank you @stuartweitzman for letting me be your date and for always making my feet happy and legs sexy!!! #CFDAawards ”

Before anyone could even start thinking that a little areola action crept into the shot, Teigen shut it down. “Do you guys know what a shadow is? Those are not nipples. I know what my nipples look like. You don’t. Well maybe you do. But those aren’t them,” she added to the caption. Duly noted.
