Police caught driver going 110 km/h over speed limit in Halton Hills.

A Halton Regional Police officer checking for drunk drivers along Steeles Ave., West of Eighth Line, around 12:30 a.m. Friday noticed a speeding car travelling east on Steeles and allegedly clocked the silver Honda Civic doing 170 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

Halton police say the driver has been charged with speeding and stunt driving.

His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle was towed and seized for a week.
